I can never pass up a chance to get my makeup done. If I was a morning person, I would probably go to work looking like this on the regular, so obvi this weekend was the perfect excuse to pamper my face given it was hubby’s birthday. Every time I get my makeup done, I feel like a kid at Toys R Us, and I want to go home with all the flashy dolls and toys. I am absolutely obsessed with my makeup artist, Jane So. I have gone to a lot of different artists in the area, and she is the only one I can’t get enough of. I think when looking for a makeup artist, you have to find someone who’s personality matches your own. This way you don’t have to go into great detail to describe the look you are going for. And Jane just gets me…….it’s really that simple.
This time we decided on a sexy and sultry look to go with my sexy, yet classy outfit. I am not afraid of makeup, I love it and the more the merrier. My skin is a bit sensitive, so I try to stay lighter on my face. Jane uses skincare products from either Nars or Smashbox. This look she used Nars tinted moisturizer pure radiant and Smashbox photo finish foundation primer because my skin is oily. I absolutely looove, love, LOVE eyeliner, eyeshadow, and lashes. I can’t leave the house without eyeliner, and I cannot go out without my lashes… ever! Smokey eyes is probably my go to look because I like to make my eyes pop. On the eyes we used MAC electric cool shadow in “pure flash” and “love power” and MAC matte shadow in “carbon” with Stila stay all day liquid liner and Lilly lashes “Paris“. On the lips we went with a berry shade to compliment my outfit, so we chose Mineralize rich lipstick by MAC in “Good Taste” and lip pencil in “Magenta”. I have to say this is the first MAC lipstick that didn’t dry my lips. I was so in love with this look when I got home I didn’t want to wash my face, but I did. I thought I would share it with you all especially as we are going into the weekend.
