Hello Dolls,

When it’s cold outside and you can’t seem to stay inside on a Friday night, what do you do? You pull out your favorite over the knee boots, pair them with a vegan leather skirt, and top it all off with a faux fur coat to keep you warm and fabulous! At least that is what I did this past weekend. We went out for a friends birthday in 10 degree weather, and guess what, I was nice and toasty! I actually started out the night wearing tights under the skirt and then had to take them off because I was getting a little too warm.

Because I am so obsessed with over the knee boots, and because I love all of my readers so much, in my next post, I’ll be listing a range of the latest over the knee boots with links to purchase online!¬† I personally think I’m in need of another pair, so I may join in on the spree ūüėČ

Thank you for reading!

Hello Dolls,

I recently came back from an absolutely fabulous vacation to Miami and the Caribbean. It was so nice just to get out of the frozen tundra that I have been stuck in for the past 2 months. Miami is probably my husbands and I’s favorite city. Every time we go, we have an amazing time. We love the beach, the shopping, the restaurants, and the nightlife. This was our first trip with just the two of us. In the past we have gone with friends, so it was nice to just spend some quality time together. In the past when my husband used to go he would stay at Fountainbleu, so this time we decided to try one of the newer resorts, so we opted for the SLS.¬†The hotel was built just a few years ago and is the old Ritz Plaza hotel which was gutted and redone. It actually still has the original Ritz Plaza sign and has kept the Miami Art Deco feel as you will typically find in South Beach.¬†I definitely recommend the hotel if you’re looking for a posh and trendy atmosphere, and the service was impeccable. I typically love staying on Collins in south beach since it is walking distance¬†to the restaurants and shopping, but far enough from the craziness on Ocean Drive. We did the usual: went to the beach, the pool, shopping, and went out to dinners.

My favorite place to shop is Lincoln Road even though some of my favorite one-of-a-kind stores, like Follies and Astoria, are no longer there. I usually don’t leave disappointed. Also,¬†Bal Harbour is normally the mall that I would go to, but this time we decided to check out the Miami Design District because the Hermes store moved there and I absolutely had to go there. The Design District is not as gorgeous as Bal Harbour¬†and I didn’t see quiet as many Bentleys and Birkins, but all the top brands are there like Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Celine, Christian Louboutin, etc. Uber in Miami is super cheap and it was a short Uber ride from SLS.

We had breakfast every morning at the outdoor restaurant at SLS. For lunch on Thursday we went to La Sandwicherie because my husband is obsessed. On Friday we went to Sushi Samba, it was good, but the one in Las Vegas is better. For dinner we went to our favorite restaurant in the world…..Prime One Twelve. The food there is heavenly and it’s fun to stargaze, but be prepared to wait to be seated even if you have a reservation. Friday night we went to Villa Azur and were a little disappointed! The food was nothing compared to Prime One Twelve, but then again can you really compare anything to Prime One Twelve? Also they seated us at one of those tables where the neighboring table is about 5 inches away and we hated it. The service felt like they were trying to get us in and out, all of our food came out a little too quickly for it to be made to order. I do have to say the place is gorgeous, so if you are ever in Miami stop by Villa Azur, have some drinks, take some pictures, and then go eat somewhere else.

This is a long post with lots of pictures thank you for reading!

Hello Dolls,

I started this post to share my Christmas eve outfit because I wore my favorite copped sweater. I then thought to myself, why don’t I dedicate this post to exactly that: my cropped sweater obsession? The cropped sweater is¬†a must have for every wardrobe this season. You can style it with a high waisted skirt, high waisted pant, or over a loose blouse with leggings or a skirt. It’s a great piece to dress up or down and keep you cozy all winter long. I love bulky sweaters as well, but feel that the cropped sweater is more flattering and gives you a more polished look. Here are a few of my favorite cropped sweater looks followed by some sweater picks. The first looks is one that I wore on Christmas eve which I also wore at work. As you can see, you can wear it with boots or pumps. Yes ladies, occasionally I do wear outfits more than once, how un-fashionista of me, but if I love something, I definitely wear it¬†again.

Thanks for reading!

Hello Dolls,

How many of you are all done with your Christmas shopping? If you’re like me and wait till last min because you are either too busy or simply like to procrastinate, then here is my gift to you – A gift guide to kick you right back on track. I read a lot of gift guides, and its crazy how most of them don’t have any gifts I would ever actually buy no matter how desperate I am. I have no idea who picks those and “recommends” them, but I am here to give you something that will ease your mind. Everything that I am going to post is something I would give to someone or¬†something I would love to get myself. I would never buy something for someone else that I wouldn’t also buy for myself. ¬†Also, if you don’t have time to run to the mall, go online. The selection is even better online, and you don’t have to wait in line to pay. A lot of places have free shipping around the holidays as well. And if its December 24th and you still haven’t finished your shopping, then there is always gift cards!

Happy Shopping and thanks for reading!

Don’t forget to ¬†follow me on Instagram for all my holiday looks.

Hello Dolls,

It is definitely jacket weather here in Washington, DC, and the best part of this weather is layering pieces. One of the best layering pieces is a leather jacket! You can dress it down with jeans and pumps or dress it up with a miniskirt and boots. A black leather jacket is a wardrobe staple, but if you already have a black one, maybe this is the time to venture out to a different color. So here are my top 7 faux leather jacket for this season.

Hello Dolls,

Winters in the DC area have not been very kind as of late, so you may wonder how I get myself through seasonal depression. By updating my wardrobe! Here are my 7 wardrobe must haves for this fall:

1. Leather skirt

I love leather especially in the fall and winter months. This season we are going to have a variety of faux leather items. As much as I love leather jackets and leather pants, my favorite for this fall is a skirt. Like this pencil skirt from Zara. If you look on their website, they have it paired with a hideous sweater. That is NOT what I would wear it with! Sometimes I wonder who styles for these companies. I would wear it with a crop top and pumps, or tucked in button down blouse.

fall must haves 1

Or this gem from Southmoonunder. Wine colors are my go to shade in the fall, I just can’t get enough.

fall must haves 1.1

2. Snake skin leggings

Snake skin leggings like these from Southmoonunder. I just got these last week and can’t wait to wear them with a poncho or sheer blouse. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you probably own a pair of black leggings, so why not spice it up this fall with a pair in a fun print like snakeskin!

Fall must haves 5

3. Long sleeved crop top

Just because its cold outside doesn’t mean you have to put away your crop tops. I love wearing mine with high waist, below-the-knee pencil skirts, or high waist leggings. I love the sheer on this one from Revolve Clothing if you are looking for something classy yet sexy.

The lace sleeves are absolutely stunning on this one from Forever 21 and its only $14.80.

4. Black Boots

How can anyone ever survive the fall without a pair of black boots? I love wearing my boots with everything: skirts, leggings, jeans, shorts and tights – you name it, I have worn it, and I cant wait to pull out all my boots for the fall. I love suede, leather, over-the-knee, and of course riding boots. And don’t forget how warm these will keep you when you are wearing your mini skirts! I am absolutely obsessed with these suede black ones from Nordstrom! So hurry up and get yourself a pair!

5. Blazer

Layering is one of my favorite things about fall. Everyone needs the perfect fall blazer or even a couple. You have to have a black one that is versatile. I also love the rich fall colors like burgundy, brunt orange, navy blue, deep magenta, or military green. You can be wearing jeans and a t-shirt, and when you add a blazer, your outfit goes from simple to glam in no time. I couldn’t stick to just picking one fall blazer because you can have more than one perfect fall blazer, so click on the pictures and decide which one is your favorite.

RGI4G527_001 hmprod 7723846706_2_1_1 hmprod2

6. Leopard print shawl

Layering a shawl over a blazer or sweater is always amazing. If you are not into animal print try another fall color like brown, burgundy, or a deep green color to add a little spice to you outfit.

7. Fall lipstick

Change up your makeup with the season as you change your wardrobe. Red wine lips for the fall and winter are a crowd favorite. My 3 favorite colors are: MAC Diva, Chanel Rouge Allure #40 La Sensuella, and MAC Dare You. Don’t forget to get a matching lip liner because most darker colors will look like they are running if you don’t line them. Diva is definitely the most dramatic one, but MAC Dare You and Chanel #40 are great for day or night.
