Last Saturday, I was invited by a good friend Sim Khan from Brimble & Clark to walk in the Green Cup Polo fashion show at the Capitol Polo Club. It has probably been at least 10 years since I last walked down a runway, so it’s safe to say I had a bit of rust to shake off. I absolutely love blazers, and no one does them better then our very own DC native Sim Khan. Brimble & Clark has truly emerged as a top contender for custom tailored suits and blazers. The fabric choices range from DC conservative, to NY Chic, to Miami vice – so whatever your style, there is a good chance Sim has you covered. I am extremely selective in the clothes that I wear, and often find it hard to find something that truly catches my eye. Most of the time I can imagine an outfit in my head, but can’t always find it in stores which is why I love custom made items. I have been a witness to the Brimble & Clark process because my husband has purchased quiet a few suits and they are all the epitome of perfection. You can never have enough blazers because adding one to your outfit can always spice things up whether your goal is to appear more professional or fun and sassy. Needless to say, I cannot wait to get my own blazer made, or maybe even a few!
The first piece that I wore was this amazing orange and gold embroidered one-button blazer. Lots of pop and vibrance in an very clean and chic look. This would be perfect if you wanted to take any outfit from simple to fabulous for any occasion from a work function to a night out.
The second one was a more sophisticated houndstooth blazer with slanted pockets, and a pink satin inner lining. Being pink obsessed as I am – I couldn’t get enough of the lining.
This was an event at the Capitol Polo Club so we went with an equestrian chic theme. Under the blazers I wore high waisted leggings , a corset crop top , riding boots, and pearls. I love mixing different styles and I loved the contrast of the corset crop top and pearls. Washington, DC is the epitome of conservative so I had so much fun shocking everyone with a corset under my blazer. I am anything, but conservative so that was one of my favorite parts of the show.

These are no longer available, and this color was very hard to track down in the first place, but there are a few similar ones available this season. I’ll include my favorites at the bottom of the post.
I did my own hair and makeup using my favorite Premium Remy Euronext clip in extension from Sally’s Beauty supply
