Hello Dolls,

I hope you enjoyed my post last week about my adventures in Miami. This week, I am going to tell you all about our adventures  in the Caribbean. After Miami, my husband and I went on a cruise with our family for my father in law’s 60th birthday. It was an Armenian Heritage Cruise on MSC Divina exploring the Western Caribbean. The best part of the cruise was that our baby niece got to join us for the trip! The ship itself was not nearly as impressive as I’ve experienced in the past, and I wouldn’t recommend it as a top choice. We have cruised with Royal Caribbean multiple times, and the food and service is much better. On MSC, the food totally sucked. I mean this with a heavy emphasis on “sucked.” Choices were not plentiful, and what was available was extremely sub par. The ship itself was not designed very well and was really confusing to get around, and there was not very much to do on board. Once i got beyond the poor quality food and terrible boat layout, I was able to enjoy the 80+ degree weather and Caribbean atmosphere. The ports of call were Falmouth, Jamaica; Georgetown, Grand Cayman; Cozumel, Mexico; and Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas.

For our second wedding anniversary, my husband and I went on a Mediterranean Cruise which was absolutely amazing. One thing we learned on there was that getting excursions through the ship is not always the best idea. It’s usually better to explore on your own and book excursions while off the ship with the locals. This strategy actually backfired while we were in Jamaica. We got off the ship with my sister and brother in law, so excited to go to the beach because we had all heard about these beautiful Jamaican beaches. First of all: the port itself was a mess!!! They had buses instead of cabs that would take groups to different locations. There was an extremely disorganized system of random people directing people to buses without even asking where it was they wanted to go. It was almost like we were being shipped off to camps. We began by asking the locals to go to the best beach! They took us to Doctor’s Cay in Montego Bay which looked more like Ocean City, MD rather than the beautiful Caribbean you’re used to seeing. If Doctor’s Cay is their best beach, I am definitely never going to Jamaica ever again!

For our second port of call, we were scheduled to stop in Grand Cayman. After the horrific experience in Jamaica, we quickly lowered our standards quite a bit. Grand Cayman was everything Jamaica wasn’t – beautiful scenery and a widely developed city blanketed with amazing shopping, beautiful beach houses, and amazing restaurants – this was more like it! My husband and I rented a scooter and drove all around the island exploring amazing beaches and local neighborhoods. Grand Cayman is a very beautiful and clean island with a lot to see and do. We spent some time on seven mile beach with our sister, brother, and our niece and this beach is definitely what you would expect from a beach in the caribbean. I can’t wait to come back to the Caymans and spend more time there. I kinda wish we had stayed there the whole time!

On the third day we stopped in Cozumel, Mexico. I always love visiting Mexico, and you can never go wrong with Mexico as long as you avoid the cartel controlled areas! We rented a scooter again, but it started to rain so we turned around, went back to the city, and ate. We did some research and located this hole in the wall place that was famous for their burritos. I can tell you that the burritos we had at this spot were by far the best in the world, and I still dream about it! Seriously, if you are ever in Cozumel go to Burritos Gorditos, I promise you will not be disappointed. Before it started raining we saw a little bit of the beaches and they were gorgeous as well, so this is another island I wouldn’t mind coming back to.

Our last stop was Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas. It was totally a filler stop because it is a private island owned by Norwegian Cruise Line and it is basically a corporate run man-made tourist stop. That’s how much MSC sucks, they don’t even own their own island and have to stop at someone else’s! I don’t want to complain about a beach because it was beautiful, but there was nothing else to do. Unfortunately the food on the island is brought on and prepared by the cruise ship that your are on, which really wasn’t great for us since MSC food sucked! I liked this island because it was pretty and it was relaxing, but I would have preferred Nassau and the Atlantis.

Thank you for reading!

Hello Dolls,

I recently came back from an absolutely fabulous vacation to Miami and the Caribbean. It was so nice just to get out of the frozen tundra that I have been stuck in for the past 2 months. Miami is probably my husbands and I’s favorite city. Every time we go, we have an amazing time. We love the beach, the shopping, the restaurants, and the nightlife. This was our first trip with just the two of us. In the past we have gone with friends, so it was nice to just spend some quality time together. In the past when my husband used to go he would stay at Fountainbleu, so this time we decided to try one of the newer resorts, so we opted for the SLS. The hotel was built just a few years ago and is the old Ritz Plaza hotel which was gutted and redone. It actually still has the original Ritz Plaza sign and has kept the Miami Art Deco feel as you will typically find in South Beach. I definitely recommend the hotel if you’re looking for a posh and trendy atmosphere, and the service was impeccable. I typically love staying on Collins in south beach since it is walking distance to the restaurants and shopping, but far enough from the craziness on Ocean Drive. We did the usual: went to the beach, the pool, shopping, and went out to dinners.

My favorite place to shop is Lincoln Road even though some of my favorite one-of-a-kind stores, like Follies and Astoria, are no longer there. I usually don’t leave disappointed. Also, Bal Harbour is normally the mall that I would go to, but this time we decided to check out the Miami Design District because the Hermes store moved there and I absolutely had to go there. The Design District is not as gorgeous as Bal Harbour and I didn’t see quiet as many Bentleys and Birkins, but all the top brands are there like Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Celine, Christian Louboutin, etc. Uber in Miami is super cheap and it was a short Uber ride from SLS.

We had breakfast every morning at the outdoor restaurant at SLS. For lunch on Thursday we went to La Sandwicherie because my husband is obsessed. On Friday we went to Sushi Samba, it was good, but the one in Las Vegas is better. For dinner we went to our favorite restaurant in the world…..Prime One Twelve. The food there is heavenly and it’s fun to stargaze, but be prepared to wait to be seated even if you have a reservation. Friday night we went to Villa Azur and were a little disappointed! The food was nothing compared to Prime One Twelve, but then again can you really compare anything to Prime One Twelve? Also they seated us at one of those tables where the neighboring table is about 5 inches away and we hated it. The service felt like they were trying to get us in and out, all of our food came out a little too quickly for it to be made to order. I do have to say the place is gorgeous, so if you are ever in Miami stop by Villa Azur, have some drinks, take some pictures, and then go eat somewhere else.

This is a long post with lots of pictures thank you for reading!

Hello Dolls,

I started this post to share my Christmas eve outfit because I wore my favorite copped sweater. I then thought to myself, why don’t I dedicate this post to exactly that: my cropped sweater obsession? The cropped sweater is a must have for every wardrobe this season. You can style it with a high waisted skirt, high waisted pant, or over a loose blouse with leggings or a skirt. It’s a great piece to dress up or down and keep you cozy all winter long. I love bulky sweaters as well, but feel that the cropped sweater is more flattering and gives you a more polished look. Here are a few of my favorite cropped sweater looks followed by some sweater picks. The first looks is one that I wore on Christmas eve which I also wore at work. As you can see, you can wear it with boots or pumps. Yes ladies, occasionally I do wear outfits more than once, how un-fashionista of me, but if I love something, I definitely wear it again.

Thanks for reading!

Hello Dolls,

How many of you are all done with your Christmas shopping? If you’re like me and wait till last min because you are either too busy or simply like to procrastinate, then here is my gift to you – A gift guide to kick you right back on track. I read a lot of gift guides, and its crazy how most of them don’t have any gifts I would ever actually buy no matter how desperate I am. I have no idea who picks those and “recommends” them, but I am here to give you something that will ease your mind. Everything that I am going to post is something I would give to someone or something I would love to get myself. I would never buy something for someone else that I wouldn’t also buy for myself.  Also, if you don’t have time to run to the mall, go online. The selection is even better online, and you don’t have to wait in line to pay. A lot of places have free shipping around the holidays as well. And if its December 24th and you still haven’t finished your shopping, then there is always gift cards!

Happy Shopping and thanks for reading!

Don’t forget to  follow me on Instagram for all my holiday looks.

Hello Dolls,

On the weekend before Thanksgiving, we were invited to my BFF’s housewarming party. Yeorgia and her husband, Adrian, purchased their beautiful new home, and had a small group of friends over to celebrate. I didn’t get a chance to post it earlier because Thanksgiving week was so crazy! We had so much fun at their house that I had to write about it even though I’m a little late. Their house is adorable, the food was delicious, and the company was perfection as always. Yeorgia and I went to college together, so we have been friends for over 10 years. I must say its quite satisfying witnessing each other build families with loved ones.

I chose to wear my favorite black skinny pants with leopard & leather because clearly I can’t get enough of it. Swear to God I did not plan these posts back to back like this. I didn’t even realize it until I started writing about my outfit. Oh, and I also wore my lovely rock & republic booties from Kohl’s!

Thanks for reading!

Hello Dolls,

Last week I shared my top 7 leather jackets for this season, so let me share with you one of my favorite leather jackets from my closet. My husband and I went on a Mediterranean cruise 2 years ago to celebrate our anniversary, and it was one of our most amazing vacations. One of the stops we made was Rome. We had both been to Rome with our families when we were younger, so we decided why try to rush around to see sites when we can just go shopping. For someone like me, surrounding myself with Italian fashion is probably more exciting anyway. We walked down Via Del Corso because along the way we were still able to stop at the major monuments like Venetian Gate, Spanish Steps, and Trevi Fountain. When I spotted this pink leather jacket I was beyond excited because it really was perfection. I am pretty picky with clothes in general, and nice leather jackets are hard to find so if you spot a gem like this, don’t leave the store without it. This jacket was probably one of the best purchases I made on that trip.

This look was for a casual day of shopping, so I styled my jacket with jeans, a scarf, and flats. You can never go wrong with leopard and leather!

Thanks for reading!

Hello Dolls,

It is definitely jacket weather here in Washington, DC, and the best part of this weather is layering pieces. One of the best layering pieces is a leather jacket! You can dress it down with jeans and pumps or dress it up with a miniskirt and boots. A black leather jacket is a wardrobe staple, but if you already have a black one, maybe this is the time to venture out to a different color. So here are my top 7 faux leather jacket for this season.

Hello Dolls,

As the days get shorter and the sunshine limited,  I decided to throwback to my favorite weekend this summer. I love to travel and experience new things, but somehow every year my husband and I end up in LA, Miami, Las Vegas, or all of the above. We recently discovered south of France, but given the distance, a weekend trip to Monaco wouldn’t suffice. When we got the idea to surprise our cousin, Ninelia, for her birthday in Las Vegas, there really wasn’t much thought. I don’t think I can ever describe the craziness that happens when Nini and I get together, our times together are always unforgettable. Put us together, and no matter where we are there is sure to be some crazyness. So me + Nini + Vegas seemed like perfection. We stayed at the Aria, which is one of my favorites. It was my second time there, and I love the location, its in the middle of everything and its connected to the Shops at Crystals and the Cosmopolitan,

We got there on Friday morning so we could be there before Nini and Vic got in from LA. I was so excited for them to get there, I couldn’t sit still because Nin really had no idea we were coming. When they finally checked in and got to their room, Areen and I, with our bouquet of pink balloons, knocked on their door and the crazies began when Nin opened the door with a reaction I will never forget.

We spent our first night having dinner at Nobu and resting up for the next day. I’ve been to the one at the Atlantis in the Bahamas and the one in Miami, but this was my first time at the one in Vegas, and as always, I was not disappointed.

Saturday was when it all really began. We want to Drai’s Beach Club and pretty much turned the place upside down. I don’t think there was any other table there that was having nearly as much fun as we were. When I said we turned the place upside down, I meant we literally turned everything upside down, everything at our table. The ice, the soda water, the lemons, the limes, the orange juice….all got dumped on someones head. Everyone around us was just staring at us wishing they were having that much fun. Unfortunately, Drai’s did not feel the same way so they asked us to leave because we were making a “mess”. We decided to continue our party in the limo on the way back to the hotel.

Areen and I decided to stay in Vegas for one more night because that weekend was also our 4th wedding anniversary. We celebrated by going to the High Roller Ferris Wheel and then having dinner at the Eifel Tower restaurant at Paris. I was surprised at how beautiful the view was, it overlooked the fountains at the Bellagio, so it was a perfect romantic dinner to celebrate our anniversary and a perfect end to a perfect weekend.

Hello Dolls,

This weekend, I went to visit my sister and baby niece, Noela, in New Jersey. She is so adorable, and I can’t get enough of her. She’s only two weeks old, so I was excited to be there to witness her very first ride in the new stroller. We took her to Edgewater where you can see spectacular views of the NY skyline. We got very lucky with amazing clear skies, and the visibility was perfect. It was a little windy, but perfect for an October stroll. To me, Fall is all about layering. I love jackets, chunky sweaters, and of course ponchos, like the one I am wearing here. It is so comfortable and not as bulky as say a leather jacket.

And guess what! I just purchased all of this stuff, so if you love it, you can get it too from the links below!

Hello Dolls,

This weekend, we celebrated my husband’s best friend’s birthday. Friday night, we had a casual evening at Top Golf in Alexandria, VA.  It was quite a fun experience, especially since they had pink golf balls – it made it even more exciting for me ;).

I went with a casual look: sweater, skinny pants, and my favorite flat boots. When I first saw the fringe on this sweater, I knew it belonged in my closet. I just recently picked it up, so if you happen to love too, follow the link below the picture. After all, I had to be comfortable if I was going to beat everyone at miniature golf. I think we stopped keeping score after the third hole because we were too busy laughing at our outstanding golfing skills.

Check back tomorrow for my Saturday look details 😉
