Hello Dolls,

This week, I want to share with you a dark side of me very few know about – I am talking about my clumsiness. I am seriously one of the clumsiest people around, and my latest story lives up to the hype. I typically run into various objects, trip over chairs and shoes, and usually, the only damage is a bruise here and there, but in this story, my shoe was the casualty. At my very good friend’s bridal shower, I managed to step into a floor vent and I completely destroyed the heel of my brand new Christian Louboutin shoe. You would think that nothing would happen to your shoes inside a house. It’s practically like wearing them around your own home, but since I am so famous for being clumsy, it wouldn’t have been right if I didn’t leave my mark. I had gotten this pair for Christmas and it was only my 3rd time wearing them. Surprisingly I thought, well it’s shoes, what am I going to do? But when I got home and assessed the damage, I was a little annoyed with myself. Thank God I remembered that I had seen a repair shop on the Christian Louboutin website called The Leather Spa in New York City. Conveniently, I had a trip planned to NYC the following weekend so I was able to drop off my shoe while there. Before I left, I e-mailed them a picture to make sure it was something they could fix, and they said no problem. They even said they would try to contact Christian Louboutin to see if they can get the same original leopard print material from the shoe to bring it back to life.

I wanted to share this with you all because I was so happy with the staff and service The Leather Spa provided me. They repaired it and shipped it back to me in less than 2 weeks, plus my shoe looks almost brand new! They also kept me updated through e-mail on the progress of my shoe. If you ever mess up one of your nice shoes, I highly recommend this place.

And of course, if you love the shoes they are still available at Neiman’s!

Thank you for reading!

Can you even tell which shoe was the one that was repaired?

Hello Dolls,

Winters in the DC area have not been very kind as of late, so you may wonder how I get myself through seasonal depression. By updating my wardrobe! Here are my 7 wardrobe must haves for this fall:

1. Leather skirt

I love leather especially in the fall and winter months. This season we are going to have a variety of faux leather items. As much as I love leather jackets and leather pants, my favorite for this fall is a skirt. Like this pencil skirt from Zara. If you look on their website, they have it paired with a hideous sweater. That is NOT what I would wear it with! Sometimes I wonder who styles for these companies. I would wear it with a crop top and pumps, or tucked in button down blouse.

Or this gem from Southmoonunder. Wine colors are my go to shade in the fall, I just can’t get enough.

2. Snake skin leggings

Snake skin leggings like these from Southmoonunder. I just got these last week and can’t wait to wear them with a poncho or sheer blouse. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you probably own a pair of black leggings, so why not spice it up this fall with a pair in a fun print like snakeskin!

3. Long sleeved crop top

Just because its cold outside doesn’t mean you have to put away your crop tops. I love wearing mine with high waist, below-the-knee pencil skirts, or high waist leggings. I love the sheer on this one from Revolve Clothing if you are looking for something classy yet sexy.

4. Black Boots

How can anyone ever survive the fall without a pair of black boots? I love wearing my boots with everything: skirts, leggings, jeans, shorts and tights – you name it, I have worn it, and I cant wait to pull out all my boots for the fall. I love suede, leather, over-the-knee, and of course riding boots. And don’t forget how warm these will keep you when you are wearing your mini skirts! I am absolutely obsessed with these suede black ones from Nordstrom! So hurry up and get yourself a pair!

5. Blazer

Layering is one of my favorite things about fall. Everyone needs the perfect fall blazer or even a couple. You have to have a black one that is versatile. I also love the rich fall colors like burgundy, brunt orange, navy blue, deep magenta, or military green. You can be wearing jeans and a t-shirt, and when you add a blazer, your outfit goes from simple to glam in no time. I couldn’t stick to just picking one fall blazer because you can have more than one perfect fall blazer, so click on the pictures and decide which one is your favorite.

6. Leopard print shawl

Layering a shawl over a blazer or sweater is always amazing. If you are not into animal print try another fall color like brown, burgundy, or a deep green color to add a little spice to you outfit.

7. Fall lipstick

Change up your makeup with the season as you change your wardrobe. Red wine lips for the fall and winter are a crowd favorite. My 3 favorite colors are: MAC Diva, Chanel Rouge Allure #40 La Sensuella, and MAC Dare You. Don’t forget to get a matching lip liner because most darker colors will look like they are running if you don’t line them. Diva is definitely the most dramatic one, but MAC Dare You and Chanel #40 are great for day or night.
