Hi Dolls,

So we are heading into winter and that actually makes me want to run screaming in the direction of LA.

Since I won’t be leaving the mid-atlantic region anytime soon, I have to at least try to make the best out of the frozen tundra that is upon us. To keep myself warm, I make sure to stock up on cozy accessories! I love comfy socks, sweaters, scarves, pajamas, and anything that will keep me from shivering uncontrollably. Below are some of my favorite things to keep you looking cute and comfy while you sip your hot coco and watch the snow fall through the winter months.

Free People has an amazing selection of socks this season. I will include a few of them, but go to their website for more because I honestly love all of them!

Thank you for Reading!

Hello Dolls,

Wow it’s been a while! July was a crazy month! My hubby and I celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary and went on a fabulous trip to Greece. Honestly, I don’t even know where to begin because it was truly the most amazing trip we have ever taken. We went to Athens, Mykonos, and Santorini. Our trip was definitely the trip of a lifetime. We were very lucky that our friends were in Greece at the same time and gave us a VIP experience. I think I am going to have to split this up into a few posts because we did so much and I want to tell you all about it!

Our fist stop was Athens for a day and a half before we left for Mykonos. I have always heard wonderful things about Mykonos and was so excited to experience it especially because we were there with friends. Now I have been to a lot of crazy places in my life in Europe and in the US., but let me tell you, Mykonos is a different world! The beach parties are out of control, the food is beyond words, the music, the restaurants, the shopping, the nightlife is all best of the best, and the atmosphere is perfection! The Greeks have their party schedule down. In Vegas, the problem is that the day parties are amazing, but the last time we went, we all fell asleep after Drai’s and woke up at 11 p.m. and at that point it was too late to get ready to go back out. In Mykonos, everyone goes to dinner around 1 a.m, and then the night begins. You sleep on the beach the next day until you do it all over again because the beach parties don’t start until around 7 p.m..

Make sure to bring a lot of flats with you because the roads are really bad so at night, unless you want to break your legs, most girls wear sandals. I hated the idea at first because I practically live in my heels, but I have to say I have never been more comfortable in my life. It is such a good feeling when at the end of the night you are still dancing and your feet don’t feel like you are walking on nails. Also, there are no taxis (they have about 25 on the entire island) so be prepared to walk home unless you have super amazing friends that will drive you home. If all else fails you can rent a car, a 4-wheeler, or a scooter if you want to brave the mountainous roads. They are especially fun if you are going home at 5 a.m. along with everyone else who has been out all night. We were lucky that our friends recommended we find a hotel in Mykonos Town or close to it, which we did.

We stayed at the luxurious, Ostraco Suites, too bad we didn’t spend very much time at the hotel because we were out most of the time. We never even made it to the breakfast they have by the pool every morning. The island is absolutely beautiful and the views are spectacular. It feels very surreal when you are at a beach party overlooking the Aegean sea and mountains with the sunset in the background.

Hello Dolls,

I cannot believe it’s already July and I have not talked about sunglasses! I love love love sunglasses! I never leave the house without a pair, and I even throw on a pair in the winter when it’s not that sunny. I think sunglasses are like shoes, you can’t leave home without them. I also think it’s important to match your sunnies with what you are wearing which is why I have a nice collection that I have compiled over the years. I am very picky with my sunglasses and I’m sure you all know that not all sunglasses look good on everyone so when I get a new pair I get really excited. This past January, I got a pair of these Dita ones that I wore on 4th of July in the picture below. Actually, my husband bought them for himself and I stole them because I loved them so much. Before these, I think I hadn’t found sunglasses that I really liked in over 2 years. I am very happy with the Dita brand because unlike most sunglass brands, Dita actually designs and makes their own sunglasses and these particular ones have 18 karat gold hardware ;). When you pick up a pair of Dita’s and see the quality and craftsmanship that they put into each pair, you will quickly realize not all sunglasses are equal.

As always, I am going to include a few pairs of my favorite sunglasses that I have seen out there for all you shopaholics out there.

Thank you for reading!

Hello Dolls,

This past weekend was my niece’s Christening! Most of you know how obsessed I am with her. I fell in love with Noela the moment she was born and words cannot describe how much happiness this little princess has brought into my life – she is truly a blessing. My husband and I are very honored to be Noela’s Godparents. For the christening, my sister in law asked us, the family, to all wear white. It was such a great idea! We have only gotten a sneak peak at the pictures, but what we have seen so far looks gorgeous! My niece wore a custom made white lace dress with crystals, seriously you would melt looking at her because she looked so freaking cute!!! She looked like a little Angel and Princess all in one.

As for me: there are a lot of beautiful white dresses out there, but not all are Church appropriate. I wanted to find something that was a little above my knees so not too short. I didn’t want sleeves because the church gets hot, but I didn’t want it too open on the top either again because I wanted to be Church appropriate. I was so excited when I came across a white Milly sheath dress at a boutique in Georgetown. I had to get it altered a little bit because it was a little loose in my waist, but it turned perfect! The dress that I got is a vintage, but I posted some of the other dresses I considered for the occasion at the bottom of this post. Feel free to e-mail me at Masha@MashaGabriella.com if you are looking for something specific and I’ll help you find it!

Hello Dolls,

I’m sure you have noticed by now that fringe is kind of a big deal this season! It has been slowly making a name for itself and now it’s everywhere. I wasn’t really into fringe until my best friend got me this amazing fringe vegan leather skirt, but now I am obsessed! I paired my skirt with a white cropped tee and some gold jewelry for a very simple yet polished black & white look.

I am loving fringe because it is so fun, and there are so many ways you can incorporate it into your wardrobe. I would definitely invest in at least one fringe piece because it isn’t going anywhere for a while. To help you out, I’ll share some of my favorite fringetastic finds at the bottom of the post. Happy shopping!

Hello Dolls,

With the start of a new season, us women are usually thinking about how to update our wardrobe for that season without buying entirely new sets of clothes. One of the fun ways to achieve not breaking the bank, is to get new accessories like a new bag that you can use over and over again. It’s not like buying a new shirt or skirt that you will wear once in a while. This season is all about the bucket bag. So here is a selection of some of my favorites. My theory on purchasing new purses is I only splurge on classics that I can use for years. Below I’ve included a few splurges, but mostly reasonably priced ones that are not going to put a hole in your wallet and you won’t feel bad if next year you no longer want it.

Which one is your favorite? Let me know in the comments below or feel free to e-mail me at Masha@MashaGabriella.com

Hello Dolls,

as most of you are well aware, I am really into dressing up and being fashionable everywhere I go. Being fashionable doesn’t always have to mean being uncomfortable. I love being comfortable, and if I am able to pair the two – well it doesn’t get much better than that. Enter the maxi skirt. In my opinion, the maxi skirt is a must have for spring and summer. I love that I can wear wedges or heels if I want to, but I can also hide my flats if I am going to be doing a lot of walking. Skirts are so feminine and I am a super girly girl so I love to wear skirts. The outfit that I am wearing below I wore to a brunch. Unfortunately, the skirt that I am wearing is no longer available, so make sure to check out a selection of my favorite skirts below. I am loving all the variety of maxi skirts available this season from a variety of different designers. There is something for any look you are going for whether you are feeling casual, romantic, or sexy, there is a maxi skirt out there for you. Not all of them are going to hide your flats, but it’ll be totally worth it otherwise.

Let me know which one is your favorite.

Thank you for reading!

Hello Dolls,

This past weekend one of my very close friend from college got married. It was a beautiful wedding in Connecticut and I am so happy my husband and I got to share the special day with the beautiful couple. Now that the wedding season is in full bloom I want to talk about how Rent the Runway is an amazing service for anyone who has weddings to attend this spring and summer. I love to dress up and I love fun and unique dresses, but I don’t usually like to re-wear them and I don’t like to clog up my already overflowing closet with things that I may never wear again. I also have to be in the mood for my outfit as I usually get tired of things, so Rent the Runway makes it so you don’t have to think twice about edgy and over the top styles. You can rent fabulous designer dresses for a fraction of what they would cost to purchase. I discovered rent the runway about 3 years ago and have used it for many events. I have been very happy with them and their service. The dresses have always come in good condition, and their customer service is great! Once they even shipped a dress to my hotel in New York City when I needed something last minute.

Renting is very easy, and it is like shopping on line. You enter in the date of your event and the size you are looking for and rent the runway narrows your search to the available dresses for the date needed. I recommend renting in advance because then you will have more dresses to choose from, but they have a huge inventory so even if you need something last minute its probably not going to be a problem. I have ordered a dress on a Monday for an event that was on a Thursday. They offer 2 rental options, a 4 day rental, and an 8 day rental. I have only used a 4 day rental because even if I was going out of town I’ve been able to ship my dresses back within 4 days. When you rent a dress you can order up to 2 sizes at no additional charge so you don’t have to stress about the dress not fitting. Also for an additional $32.50 you can rent a second dress in case you don’t like the first one. I recommend doing this because the dress usually comes in the night before your event, so just in case you first choice doesn’t work out you at least have a backup. You can also rent accessories like jewelry and handbags to complete your look. For all the brides out there they now have a bridal accessories rental section.

I recently joined their pro membership. For $29.95 I get free shipping and insurance for 1 year. Normally with an order there is a $9.95 shipping charge and a $10 insurance fee which covers you for any damage to the dress. If you are going to rent more than once in one year this is a great option to look into.

If you are ever in Washington, DC, New York, Chicago, or Last Vegas they have Rent the Runway stores where you can rent from their inventory or order your rental to be shipped to the store and and try it on for free before committing to the rental. If your entire order arrives but does not fit, or if you don’t like it you can submit a return for fit claim and get your money refunded to you. I’ve done that once and got my money back right away with no questions asked.

If you are like me and you love fabulous dresses but know that you are probably not going to wear it again, then I highly recommend you try them out.

Below are 2 dresses I’ve rented recently.

Hello Dolls,

This week, I want to share with you a dark side of me very few know about – I am talking about my clumsiness. I am seriously one of the clumsiest people around, and my latest story lives up to the hype. I typically run into various objects, trip over chairs and shoes, and usually, the only damage is a bruise here and there, but in this story, my shoe was the casualty. At my very good friend’s bridal shower, I managed to step into a floor vent and I completely destroyed the heel of my brand new Christian Louboutin shoe. You would think that nothing would happen to your shoes inside a house. It’s practically like wearing them around your own home, but since I am so famous for being clumsy, it wouldn’t have been right if I didn’t leave my mark. I had gotten this pair for Christmas and it was only my 3rd time wearing them. Surprisingly I thought, well it’s shoes, what am I going to do? But when I got home and assessed the damage, I was a little annoyed with myself. Thank God I remembered that I had seen a repair shop on the Christian Louboutin website called The Leather Spa in New York City. Conveniently, I had a trip planned to NYC the following weekend so I was able to drop off my shoe while there. Before I left, I e-mailed them a picture to make sure it was something they could fix, and they said no problem. They even said they would try to contact Christian Louboutin to see if they can get the same original leopard print material from the shoe to bring it back to life.

I wanted to share this with you all because I was so happy with the staff and service The Leather Spa provided me. They repaired it and shipped it back to me in less than 2 weeks, plus my shoe looks almost brand new! They also kept me updated through e-mail on the progress of my shoe. If you ever mess up one of your nice shoes, I highly recommend this place.

And of course, if you love the shoes they are still available at Neiman’s!

Can you even tell which shoe was the one that was repaired?

Hello Dolls,

Today’s post is going to be short and sweet because I have a few amazing things in the works, so stay tuned ;).

My husband hosted a car meet at his bakery, Classic Bakery, and I wanted to dress the part. I knew I had to involve leather of some sort. What’s better than my new river island faux leather jacket from ASOS? I was so excited that I finally got to wear it because I am absolutely in love with this jacket, and it is perfect for early spring! It’s fitted, which for me is a must. It has gold zippers, tufting, and an amazing faux fur collar – what else can you ask for in a leather jacket? The one that I got available here is almost sold out in all the normal sizes, but it’s available in other colors here and here. It runs a tiny bit small, so be careful, mine is a US size 4. Check out the end of this post, I added a few alternative leather jackets for spring. Click on the images to go directly to where to buy them.

Thanks for reading!
