Hello Dolls,

This week, I want to share with you a dark side of me very few know about – I am talking about my clumsiness. I am seriously one of the clumsiest people around, and my latest story lives up to the hype. I typically run into various objects, trip over chairs and shoes, and usually, the only damage is a bruise here and there, but in this story, my shoe was the casualty. At my very good friend’s bridal shower, I managed to step into a floor vent and I completely destroyed the heel of my brand new Christian Louboutin shoe. You would think that nothing would happen to your shoes inside a house. It’s practically like wearing them around your own home, but since I am so famous for being clumsy, it wouldn’t have been right if I didn’t leave my mark. I had gotten this pair for Christmas and it was only my 3rd time wearing them. Surprisingly I thought, well it’s shoes, what am I going to do? But when I got home and assessed the damage, I was a little annoyed with myself. Thank God I remembered that I had seen a repair shop on the Christian Louboutin website called The Leather Spa in New York City. Conveniently, I had a trip planned to NYC the following weekend so I was able to drop off my shoe while there. Before I left, I e-mailed them a picture to make sure it was something they could fix, and they said no problem. They even said they would try to contact Christian Louboutin to see if they can get the same original leopard print material from the shoe to bring it back to life.

I wanted to share this with you all because I was so happy with the staff and service The Leather Spa provided me. They repaired it and shipped it back to me in less than 2 weeks, plus my shoe looks almost brand new! They also kept me updated through e-mail on the progress of my shoe. If you ever mess up one of your nice shoes, I highly recommend this place.

And of course, if you love the shoes they are still available at Neiman’s!

Thank you for reading!

Can you even tell which shoe was the one that was repaired?

Hello Dolls,

It is finally FINALLY spring! We have waited a long time for this. This lovely warm weather also brings with it wedding and shower season. I love celebrating these amazing milestones with my beautiful girlfriends. I wanted to share some of my outfits from a few recent showers I attended. I was happy to pair a few new pieces with some of my timeless pieces. Also you can see how I pair up the same accessories with different looks.

Thanks for reading!

I have had this skirt and blazer for a few years now and I can’t tell you how many different events I’ve worn them too. The skirt is great because you can actually pull it up higher on your waist and make it into a shorter skirt……just saying 😉 BCBG hands down has the best blazers. I feel that some of their stuff is overpriced, but their blazers are worth it.

I could live in pink and leopard. I love mixing prints especially if it involves leopard. As you can tell you really can’t have too much leopard, in my world it’s a neutral.

Hello Dolls,

My birthday is March 30th and for those who know me – I am the ultimate birthday girl. I treat my birthday as a national holiday. Last year, I turned 30 so I went to Dominican Republic and had a huge party at a winery in Virginia wine country. This year, I wanted something more intimate, so my husband planned a New York City adventure. Everything we did on the trip was a surprise which made it even more exciting because I love surprsies. We started of by driving up to New Jersey to see our sister, brother, and our little niece. On Saturday morning, we all headed into the city to begin the festivities. It was truly a blessing to celebrate my birthday with my niece, Noela, who I’m absolutely obsessed with. Seriously, she is the cutest baby in the world!

I chose a casual outfit for the day because we were walking around a lot and exploring. It was freezing so I had to bundle up a little. My UGG boots are the best at that!

For our nigh-time activities I wore a tulle skirt, because its my birthday and when else can you wear a tutu and get away with it??? I love this skirt because it’s long and doesn’t look like something you bought at the ballet store.

Overall my birthday was amazing. I loved spending the day with my husband and my family exploring NYC.

Hello Dolls,

Today’s post is going to be short and sweet because I have a few amazing things in the works, so stay tuned ;).

My husband hosted a car meet at his bakery, Classic Bakery, and I wanted to dress the part. I knew I had to involve leather of some sort. What’s better than my new river island faux leather jacket from ASOS? I was so excited that I finally got to wear it because I am absolutely in love with this jacket, and it is perfect for early spring! It’s fitted, which for me is a must. It has gold zippers, tufting, and an amazing faux fur collar – what else can you ask for in a leather jacket? The one that I got available here is almost sold out in all the normal sizes, but it’s available in other colors here and here. It runs a tiny bit small, so be careful, mine is a US size 4. Check out the end of this post, I added a few alternative leather jackets for spring. Click on the images to go directly to where to buy them.

Hello Dolls,

I was pleasantly surprised to be recently invited to try out Rocksbox. Rocksbox is a premium jewelry subscription box where you create an account to become a Shine Insider. Shine Insider gives you unlimited access to rent from an ever-rotating closet of designer jewelry. You may return your Rocksbox pieces anytime and as often as you like. Every set has 3 pieces of designer jewelry, worth an average of $200 per set. You also have the option to keep ones you like. When you log into you account, you can create a wishlist if there are specific items that you would like to get. They have an Instagram page where you can comment #wishlist on items that you would like to add to your wishlist. Honestly, I haven’t been this excited about anything since my best friend told me about Birchbox. For all of us busy ladies who don’t have endless hours to shop, this is literally perfection. What can beat new fun jewelry arriving at your door every month? I hate wearing the same jewelery over and over again, so this fits perfectly into my lifestyle. I can get new pieces every month, and if I really love them, I can keep them. Haven’t you ever bought a ring or a necklace wore it a few times and then just kinda got tired of it? Or those statement pieces that once you’ve worn it a few times you can’t keep wearing or it looks like that’s the only jewelry you have – well Rocksbox solves all those problems. I actually like the element of surprise when I don’t know what gems I am going to discover when I open the box. Its like opening a present on Christmas or your birthday.

I loved my first Rocksbox and wore all the jewlery already, even ended up buying the earrings that they sent because I needed gold dangley earrings. And guess what, I have an exclusive discount code for my readers to use if you want to try it out for FREE for a month. Use code mashagabriellaxoxo to get your first month free and 50% off your second month. Stay tuned, I’ll be sharing my next Rocksbox with you dolls as soon as it arrives.

Hello Dolls,

Hope you all survived this crazy snow – unless of course you are some place sunny and warm at which point i’m super jealous! Today, I want to tell you about an amazing blazer I recently purchased. I love, love, LOVE sequins, so when I was shopping for an outfit to wear to my beast friends 30th birthday, I spotted a sequined blazer I had to get. I actually had no intention of wearing it to the party until it arrived at my house! This was my first purchase from House of CB and I am very impressed! The quality of the blazer is exceptional which is important especially when it comes to sequins. You never want a cheap sequin piece mainly because there comes a point when there are no more sequins left. The color is a midnight blue/black hybrid, but it still adds a pop to an all black outfit and you can clearly see the contrast. The satin on the lapels give it the tuxedo look making it a definite statement piece and must have! And guess what, the blazer is on sale, so grab one before they’re all gone!

Hello Dolls,

I don’t know how I ever survived without a pair of over the knee boots. I feel that they are a wardrobe staple, and if you don’t have a pair – well you better go out and get one. I love them in all shapes and sizes: flat for casual looks, heeled for a night out, wedges that are comfortable, and even peep toe to wear all year round!

I have an amazing pair of boots that I got from Shoe Dazzle. They are wedges so they are super comfortable and they keep me really warm in this weather. I’ve worn them a few times this season and I can’t seem to get enough!

It is actually really hard to find the right pair of boots, so as promised, here are my favorites along with an outfit I recently wore with mine.

Hello Dolls,

When it’s cold outside and you can’t seem to stay inside on a Friday night, what do you do? You pull out your favorite over the knee boots, pair them with a vegan leather skirt, and top it all off with a faux fur coat to keep you warm and fabulous! At least that is what I did this past weekend. We went out for a friends birthday in 10 degree weather, and guess what, I was nice and toasty! I actually started out the night wearing tights under the skirt and then had to take them off because I was getting a little too warm.

Because I am so obsessed with over the knee boots, and because I love all of my readers so much, in my next post, I’ll be listing a range of the latest over the knee boots with links to purchase online!  I personally think I’m in need of another pair, so I may join in on the spree 😉

Hello Dolls,

According to Pantone, the color of 2015 is: Marsala. Lucky for me, I am already obsessed with this color and have been wearing it for a few years! It’s a wonderful, rich color, and you can work it into your wardrobe pretty easily as a statement piece or as an accessory. It is also the color of wine….just saying 😉

I’ll write a post later on dedicated to the color, but today, I want to talk about my favorite marsala pants! I got these pants at SouthMoonUnder on black Friday – yep, 20% off! So imagine my excitement when pantone announced that marsala would be the color of 2015! Not only are these pants the most amazing color, but they are super comfortable! They look like jeans, but feel like leggings, so you can dress them up or down. Definitely one of my best buys of the season so hurry up before they are all gone.

Hello Dolls,

I hope you enjoyed my post last week about my adventures in Miami. This week, I am going to tell you all about our adventures  in the Caribbean. After Miami, my husband and I went on a cruise with our family for my father in law’s 60th birthday. It was an Armenian Heritage Cruise on MSC Divina exploring the Western Caribbean. The best part of the cruise was that our baby niece got to join us for the trip! The ship itself was not nearly as impressive as I’ve experienced in the past, and I wouldn’t recommend it as a top choice. We have cruised with Royal Caribbean multiple times, and the food and service is much better. On MSC, the food totally sucked. I mean this with a heavy emphasis on “sucked.” Choices were not plentiful, and what was available was extremely sub par. The ship itself was not designed very well and was really confusing to get around, and there was not very much to do on board. Once i got beyond the poor quality food and terrible boat layout, I was able to enjoy the 80+ degree weather and Caribbean atmosphere. The ports of call were Falmouth, Jamaica; Georgetown, Grand Cayman; Cozumel, Mexico; and Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas.

For our second wedding anniversary, my husband and I went on a Mediterranean Cruise which was absolutely amazing. One thing we learned on there was that getting excursions through the ship is not always the best idea. It’s usually better to explore on your own and book excursions while off the ship with the locals. This strategy actually backfired while we were in Jamaica. We got off the ship with my sister and brother in law, so excited to go to the beach because we had all heard about these beautiful Jamaican beaches. First of all: the port itself was a mess!!! They had buses instead of cabs that would take groups to different locations. There was an extremely disorganized system of random people directing people to buses without even asking where it was they wanted to go. It was almost like we were being shipped off to camps. We began by asking the locals to go to the best beach! They took us to Doctor’s Cay in Montego Bay which looked more like Ocean City, MD rather than the beautiful Caribbean you’re used to seeing. If Doctor’s Cay is their best beach, I am definitely never going to Jamaica ever again!

For our second port of call, we were scheduled to stop in Grand Cayman. After the horrific experience in Jamaica, we quickly lowered our standards quite a bit. Grand Cayman was everything Jamaica wasn’t – beautiful scenery and a widely developed city blanketed with amazing shopping, beautiful beach houses, and amazing restaurants – this was more like it! My husband and I rented a scooter and drove all around the island exploring amazing beaches and local neighborhoods. Grand Cayman is a very beautiful and clean island with a lot to see and do. We spent some time on seven mile beach with our sister, brother, and our niece and this beach is definitely what you would expect from a beach in the caribbean. I can’t wait to come back to the Caymans and spend more time there. I kinda wish we had stayed there the whole time!

On the third day we stopped in Cozumel, Mexico. I always love visiting Mexico, and you can never go wrong with Mexico as long as you avoid the cartel controlled areas! We rented a scooter again, but it started to rain so we turned around, went back to the city, and ate. We did some research and located this hole in the wall place that was famous for their burritos. I can tell you that the burritos we had at this spot were by far the best in the world, and I still dream about it! Seriously, if you are ever in Cozumel go to Burritos Gorditos, I promise you will not be disappointed. Before it started raining we saw a little bit of the beaches and they were gorgeous as well, so this is another island I wouldn’t mind coming back to.

Our last stop was Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas. It was totally a filler stop because it is a private island owned by Norwegian Cruise Line and it is basically a corporate run man-made tourist stop. That’s how much MSC sucks, they don’t even own their own island and have to stop at someone else’s! I don’t want to complain about a beach because it was beautiful, but there was nothing else to do. Unfortunately the food on the island is brought on and prepared by the cruise ship that your are on, which really wasn’t great for us since MSC food sucked! I liked this island because it was pretty and it was relaxing, but I would have preferred Nassau and the Atlantis.

Thank you for reading!
